Could somebody describe the daily routine and tasks of a chartering shipbroker?
Talking from the competitive brokers side, most days your focus is finding the right cargo/ship for your clients needs.
When you focus more on the spot markers, your day will start with getting updates from your clients with what requirements they need to cover that specific day/week.
After you do that your focus is solely to try to find the best cargo (or ship) to propose to your client.
Then you move to the negotiation part, where you will trade the hire/freight and the rest of the terms for that specific employment.
