Photo of IMO Type C LNG Tanks (for a VLCC)

Queseanians,

Check an interesting photo of installed LNG tanks in a DF VLCC. Between the 2 LNG tanks, you can observe the Fuel Preparation Room, an enclosed space dedicated for Fuel Gas Supply System.

Hello @Iro,
First of all you may see the two IMO type C LNG fuel tanks.
On top of them there are access platforms as well as instrumentation and safety valves.
On their sides you may see the nozzles of the water spay system used for cooling and fire prevention.
In the middle, above the deck lines, you may see the fuel gas preparation room.
The fuel gas preparation room houses the fuel gas supply and handling equipment.

On the sides, aft from cargo manifolds (around midship), you can also see the open-deck LNG bunkering station (port & starboard). The station drip tray is made of stainless steel material, and it consists of two main manifolds (liquid & vapour) for bunkering with a hydraulic-controlled valve for each line.
