In response to the pressing need to reduce carbon emissions from all forms of transportation, there has been a notable increase in the adoption of new energy vehicles.
The European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) has gathered data on passenger car registrations in the EU based on fuel type, revealing a substantial growth in the registration of alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) in recent years.
Projections indicate that electric vehicles (EVs) are expected to equal the sales of internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles by 2030 and surpass them by 2040.
And with that several concerns have been raised in relation to EVs and their carriage on board of ships.
