In which case do we have to use the aft emergency towing arrangement of a ship? Any specific examples of aft em/cy towing ? (Except from the obvious case of a ship heading for collision with shore obstacles i.e rocks)

Em/cy towing from the aft is a rare case and it happens in cases only when fore towing is not applicable.
Such cases are:
-
In case of a Fire (E.g. in a port)
-
In case of Front Grounding
-
In case of harsh weather, when it is dangerous for crew to operate the fore system.
