Hello Queseanians,

The FuelEU Maritime Regulation aims to support the decarbonisation of the shipping industry and will enter into force on January 1, 2025.

Last week, the EU released draft documents related to this regulation and asked for feedback by April 24, 2024.

  1. FuelEU Maritime Regulation - methods & criteria for the accreditation of verifiers
  2. Decarbonising the shipping sector – template for standard monitoring plans (Article 8(4) FuelEU Maritime Regulation)
  3. Decarbonising the shipping sector – verification activities (Article 13(5) FuelEU Maritime Regulation)

By looking at these documents, we can understand the expectations for each ship, including the template of a monitoring plan that should be submitted to the verifier by August 2024.
