Hello!
Could somebody explain the concept of “speed droop” in governors?

This is an interesting question.
Droop (sinking) of a governor is defined as the gradual reduction of revolutions when the load increases.
Droop is expressed as the percentage of RPM reduction from minimum to full load.
As the load increases proportionally, the speed setting decreases.
So the engine is controlled to run at lowe RPM.
