LNG (as fuel) chemical composition

What are the main chemical components of the LNG fuel?

Hi @Captain_Tim ,

Typically LNG consists of 85 to 95-plus percent methane (CH4) which is the simplest hydrocarbon compound.

Other compounds in a fewer percent include ethane, even less propane, butane, and trace amounts of nitrogen.

The exact composition varies according to its source and processing history.

LNG is odorless, colorless, noncorrosive, and nontoxic, and nowadays quite expensive.
