Hello,
The 79th session of MEPC discussed several issues including
- matters about new amendments to the MARPOL and the Ballast Water Management Conventions
- flashpoint information on Bunker Delivery Note
- additional information to be submitted to the IMO Ship Fuel Oil Consumption Database
- regional arrangements for Port Reception Facilities in the Arctic
- establishment of an Emission Control Area (ECA) and Particularly Sensitive Sea Area (PSSA) in the Mediterranean Sea
- developments in the IMO’s Strategy for Greenhouse Gas Reduction
The next session, MEPC80, in July 2023, will have more significant outcomes, along with revising the IMO initial GHG strategy.
