Standard positioning of valve disc/stem of a butterfly valve

Butterfly valve is well-known about bi-direction.
However, positioning of disc/stem of the valve to be decided at early stage of design in view of direction of fluid and strength of the valve.
Here a proposal from newbuilding site in Korean shipyard is attached.
