What is the purpose and usual procedure of gas trials in LNG carriers?

Hi @Surcouf_Renrd,
Usually, Gas Trials are carried out by the shipbuilder before the vessel delivery aiming to confirm the correct
function, integrity, and capacity of the complete cargo system.
The containment, insulation, cargo handling equipment, pipelines and valves, and the equipment to handle boil-off gas (BOG) also are tested.
Check out this nice publication from SIGTTO that provides guidance on the requirements for testing the systems for handling LNG cargo and its boil-off gas.
