I was travelling the other days with a ro-ro pax and I was curious why the sockets in the accomondation are located upwards and not down similar to shore installations. Do you have any clue?

I guess they designed it this way in order to be sure that there will be no forgotten chargers or other electrical appliances plugged in.
A plugged-in charger or electrical appliance might be a potential source of current leakage, which is a dangerous situation onboard.
In this case I believe that the power sockets are that high up because there seems to be a mounting bracket for a flat screen (TV) panel.
