I have one doubt about recent Correction Factors for IMO CII.
For ferries operating with reefers trucks, It is possible to deduce the power needed of these reefers on the calculation of CII??
It looks that for containerships they can deduce It, but what about ferries operation and reefers trucks??

The correction 𝐹𝐶𝑒𝑙𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑙_𝑟𝑒𝑒𝑓𝑒𝑟,𝑗 introduced at MEPC.355(78), refers to Refrigerated Containers.
During MEPC78, various proposals to include the reefer trucks in the correction were discussed but without success so far.

Aren’t they similar? The philosophy must be the same, the vessel has an extra consumption due to the need of transport of some refrigerated cargo.
I agree that the reefer trucks should be included in the correction. It should be the same philosophy, but at the current resolution, this is not included.
Maybe IACS will provide more guidance on the topic, similar to the Guidelines of the EEXI they published.
